CSV Converter for Heroxx Logistix
The Problem: Heroxx Logistix is a consulting company that routinely processes PRN (print format text files that are space separated) and CSV (comma separated value text files) from one of their customers. The clean up of these files is repetitive and time consuming.
The Solution: Create a windows based C# application that parses (separates into values) the file in the same manner that they did.
The Time: The application from concept to completion took eight hours and was delivered to the customer in two days after testing.
The Benefit: Heroxx Logistix now processes in 30 seconds a file that took 3 hours to process. They have to do this twice a week.
The next step: The same application was later enhanced to store their customer's products in a database with a parent child search.
